Dress Up Time, AGAIN

The boys decided to play dress up (which is actually a daily event around here, especially for Mason), but today they wanted me to take pictures of them. And how could I refuse, they are just so darn cute.

Today's costumes of choice--Dracula?/Darth Vader and Spiderman!

Aren't they scary?!

First Day of School!

Logan is in Unit A at Ridgeway, in Mrs. Shull's class. He was excited to find out that a lot of his old friends from Carousel Playschool were in his class, including Kyla =)!

As you can see from the pics, his first day was rainy, but he didn't seem to mind.
Logi waiting for the bus.

Mason finds a spot next to Logan in the gym as they wait to be dismissed to their classes. (Mason was just pretending to be a Ridgeway Ram.)

This was Mason's first year at Parkade Preschool. He was so excited to finally be like his big brother and start school. He loves it!

Mason decorates a frame with his teacher, Mrs. Vicki during orientation.

Mason finds his name tag and hangs up his backpack on the corresponding hook.

Mrs. Vicki starts they day out with Circle time. "Everyone find a shape to sit on!"

Mason decided to build during free time. Logan's old preschool teacher, Mrs. Kimble assisted Mrs. Vicki on Mason's first day of school!

Mason plays cars with some of his new friends and also sports some cute safety goggles.

Sturgeon Fishing

I've lived most of my life in the Tri-Cities and I never took the opportunity to go sturgeon fishing. So my Dad, Ezra, and I decided to take a trip below McNary Dam and try it out. I captured the "minnow" award with this monster

However, Dad hooked the prize of the day, but he did give me the chance to real it in for a while. Ezra cooked some sturgeon up the next day, and I was impressed with just how good these bottom feeders taste!

Check out my new ride.... Sweet!.... Lucky!.....

Columbia River

While we were in Richland, WA we spent some time playing in the Columbia River.

Logan loved tubing . . .

Jake did some wake boarding . . .

And Mason just liked jumping in to cool off in between the two!

We also did a little bit of Jet skiing. Jake and Logan:

Jake trying to spray us!All of the cousins enjoyed playing on the "beach." With all the "toys" available the kids preferred the sand and muddy water!

All of the cousins with Aunt Hayley and Aunt Carina:

Jake and I

Craig and Janet give some of the gran kids a ride.

Logan was a little bored. The girls didn't want to go as fast as he wanted to go!

Trip to Coeur d'Alene

During our trip back to Washington, we made a stop in Coeur d'Alene, ID to see Jake's Grandma Bev and Grandpa Bob Christian. We really enjoyed seeing them, as did our boys. Mason really loves Grandma Bev. The boys with Grandpa Bob!
Four Generations of Christians.
The boys LOVE Aunt Jessica!
All of us!

Nebraska Fans

And of course you can't make a trip back to Nebraska without visiting the book store with all of the BIG RED gear! We just love our little Husker fans!

Lincoln's Children Museum

While we were in Lincoln we took advantage of the new Children's Museum there. It was so much fun. The kids loved it. I think Jake and I had just as much fun as they did just snapping pictures and watching them play.
The boys wearing their fireman hats and going for a ride in the fire engine!

There was a rocket ship and all of the equipment that goes along with it . . .

A pizza shop

A farm complete with a tractor, a garden, and lots of animals

There was even huge prairie dog holes in the "hill side" and prairie dog costumes. Isn't our little prairie dog cute?

Logan enjoyed the water science area where he was able to build his own little pipeline.

Jake enjoyed the water area too!

Mason is obsessed with "Monster trucks" as he calls them. So when he had a chance to jump into this real semi truck there was no hesitation! He even took Daddy for a ride!

Then it was off to flight school where Mason piloted his own plane . . .

While Logan gave instructions from the flight tower.

Mitch & Jessica's Wedding

Mitch and Jess were married August 9th (on my parent's 33 wedding anniversary) at the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, NE. It was beautiful. The sun was out and the weather was cool, despite it being August and having an 80% chance of rain! Aren't they such a cute couple!

Mitch and Jessica with the boys. (Jessica's two biggest fans!)

Mason and Logan were ring bearers along with Jessica's two nephews. They were all wearing special Panamanian Shirts sent from Jessica's aunt in Panama.

We're Having a Baby!

We are pregnant with number three and no one is more excited than the two boys! They are constantly putting their heads up to my stomach to see if they can hear the baby. Jake and I already have some favorite names picked out. For a girl we like Madison Marie and for a boy, Colton Lonnie. Logan and Mason are fine with the girl name, but for a boy they prefer Harold. I think they like it because it's one of main characters in the Captain Underpants book series. Everything is going well so far and we're all very excited.
