Pinewood Derby

Logan started boy scouts this year. Since he is too young to attend the pack at church, he attends the pack that meets at St.Paul Lutheran church. It has been a great opportunity for Logan and his Daddy to have some quality time together. This last Saturday, Logan competed in the pinewood derby.
First, carefully line up your car . . .

Second, give the thumbs up sign to let everyone know that you are ready to race . . .

And if you're lucky, take home a trophy! Logan won third place and he couldn't stop smiling!

Christmas Entertainment

Mason, Logan and Daddy provide a little entertainment by performing "Putting on the Ritz" as done in Young Frankenstein. It was pretty funny especially when Mason sang the "monster's" part. :)

Colton's 1st Christmas

Colton celebrated his first Christmas at home with his family as well as with Grandpa and Nana Neddenriep, Uncle Mark and Aunt Rita. He had fun ripping apart the wrapping paper and trying to eat the bows!

The big brothers enjoyed Christmas too, especially their new D.S. that they had asked Santa for.

All Snowed In!

We have gotten so much snow that we had to have our neighbor come and clear our driveway with his tractor so that Jake could go to work! And since school is cancelled, the boys conducted some schooling of their own. Below Logan teaches a lesson to Mason. :)
And here are a couple of pictures of our yard.

Obviously, the boys took advantage of all the snow.

Logan's Christmas Program

We attended Logan's school Christmas program last night and watched our guy sing his heart out! Logan is in the 3rd row, 4th from the left. He is wearing antlers because he is one of Santa's reindeer. All of the first graders (all 7 of them) are either reindeer or elves.

I'm glad the kids could actually use the word Christmas in their program and sing appropriate Christmas songs! I guess that's one of the benefits of going to a small school! We just love Avenue City.

Below: Logan poses with his friend Dylan after the program. Dylan is the only other boy in his class.

In the news...

Two years after submission, the boys pictures finally made it into the Friend magazine. They were really excited to see their own pictures in a publication.

Mason turns 5!

Our little Mason has turned 5! He celebrated with a pirate themed birthday party and invited some of his friends from preschool. They started by going on a treasure hunt in the yard. In the treasure chest that they eventually located and opened, they found pirate costumes to dress up in. Then they decorated pirate masks, played pin the eye patch on the pirate and concluded with opening presents and eating pizza and cupcakes. Each little pirate got a pirate's "booty" (treasure bag with goodies) to take home. I think everyone had a great time and I was especially excited for Mason because this was his first party that he got to invite friends to.
