Annual Grow Thanksgiving

We had our annual Grow Thanksgiving in Johnson and there were over 80 people in attendance! It's amazing how fast the extended family grows. And it seems like everyone has little boys. They out numbered the girls 5-1! But that's alright for us because our little guys and lots of little boy cousins to play/wrestle/get into trouble with! Here's the family minus Mitch and Jess, they couldn't make it until later due to work schedules.
At the children's talent show Logan recited "The Chubby Little Snowman" poem,

Mason sang "Once there was a Snowman"

And the cutest talent was shared by Kaylie! She did the "Debbie Dance" while wearing her tap shoes, tutu, and of course her silky blanket, which was draped around her shoulders!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

We helped Jessica celebrate her "Golden" birthday, turning 26 on the 26th while we were back for Thanksgiving. We're so thankful to have her join our family, she is such a fun and kind person and makes Mitch so happy! We love you Jess!

And of course we had to get a picture of the lookalikes Logan and Uncle Mitch!

The Big Deer Hunt

We traveled back to Johnson, Ne for the big deer hunt! Everyone had such a great time that we've decided that we definitely need to make this an annual event! Here are the boys and their guns . . .
Jake on the prowl . . .
And the hunters with their deer!
The little boys wanted another chance to pose with the deer. They thought it was the coolest thing ever and can't wait until they're big enough to hunt with the big boys.

Party time again!

While visiting Nana and Grandpa for the weekend, Mason was surprised with a Diego Birthday cake and more presents! Aren't grandparents grand?!

Happy 33rd Birthday Jake!

We celebrated Jake's 33rd birthday with his favorite homemade cinnamon rolls instead of cake. The boys helped him blow out his single candle (we thought 33 candles could be a fire hazard).
Besides the usual treats and candy, Jake also received hunting gear! The boys were very impressed!

Mason's 4th Birthday

Mason had his first "real" birthday party where he got to invite a couple of friends! He was so excited! Mason invited Jason and Alex Wall, his friends from church and we went to Chuck E Cheese's to celebrate! Aside from enjoying the company of friends, Mason also enjoyed:
Birthday cake with green frosting and sprinkles,
opening gifts which included dress up hats, lincoln logs, dinosaur models, and other goodies,

and of course the games!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween the boys wanted to be action characters. Mason chose to be the Red Power Ranger and Logan chose Spiderman. (Thanks for the costumes Nana, the boys loved them).

We walked around our little neighborhood trick or treating. The boys got lots of goodies and were kind enough to even share with Mom, Dad, and Nana.

Nana drove all the way down to watch the boys trick or treat. Here we are taking some funny pics!

Pumpkin Patch

We decided to make the trip to a local pumpkin patch with some friends. There were lots of farm animals for the boys to enjoy. They thought it was funny to watch one of the donkeys down a couple of pumpkins! They also found a few pumpkins that they liked enough to take home. Mason enjoyed pulling them around in a wagon until we were ready to pay.
They boys also enjoyed the corn maze and some of the little farm activities. And best of all we all went to Long Horn Steak house afterwards to enjoy some great food! YUM!

Mason's 1st Field Trip!

Mason had his first preschool field trip yesterday to Peach Tree Farms. One of the most exciting aspects of the whole trip was Mason getting to ride the bus! Logan rides the bus to school every morning, and Mason is always asking to ride. So his dream of getting on the big yellow bus has finally come true. Even though Mason is one of the biggest kids in his class, he had to sit in a car seat on the bus because he is only three. I guess the school goes by age and not by size. It was kind of funny.
After checking out many different pumpkins, he finally picked out "The One."
And here is how he decorated it after returning home.
